CONTRIBUTE TO THE WELL-BEING OF DISADVANTAGED POPULATIONS IN SENEGAL, PARTICULARLY CHILDREN AND YOUNG MOTHERS LEFT TO THEIR OWN DEVICES.

Towels for the homeless

May 28 has been designated as “Menstrual Hygiene Day”. In Montreal, we chose to celebrate the Day with the “Towels for the Homeless” campaign.

Since 2016, the Foundation has donated sanitary napkins and personal care products to local community organizations, including: Dans la rue, Chez Doris, Logifem, Maison Saint Columba, Sun Youth and Le Chaînon.

ABOUT THE SENEGAL SANTÉ MOBILE FOUNDATION

Sénégal Santé Mobile was created to provide primary health care to the most disadvantaged populations in Senegal. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization.

WE PROVIDE ESSENTIAL PRIMARY CARE MEDICATIONS

Since 2010, the Foundation has sent around twenty batches of medicines and medical equipment to dispensaries and birth centers in Senegal.

Your donations are used to purchase medicines, portable instruments and diagnostic tests to provide quality healthcare to underserved communities in Senegal, and improve the well-being of our beneficiaries.

Our fundraising is invested in programs aimed at improving the health of children and women in particular.

We keep girls in school by providing them with affordable sanitary napkins.

According to UN Women statistics, one in ten girls in sub-Saharan Africa misses school one week per month due to menstruation. They do not have appropriate menstrual hygiene protection.

In 2014, the Foundation launched SantéVie Towels, reusable cotton sanitary towels that aim to remedy this situation. These effective pads promote girls’ empowerment and provide freedom of movement during menstruation.

Our network of partners now includes: UN Women, UNFPA, Marie Stoppes, World Vision, USAID, Plan International, UNICEF and Catholic Relief Services.

MORE THAN 50,000 WOMEN AND GIRLS NOW USE OUR PADS.
